    This rare find is an excellent performer. I have gotten some great pictures with it. It is in mint condition. The company CBS does not exist anymore. It comes with a brass variable extension ring in case your optical tube is longer than the normal working distance of this lens which is 160mm. This lens was made by Beck Kassel CBS in Kassel, Germany. The company went out of business in the early 1990's. Both optically and in appearance their microscopes and lenses were comparable to Carl Zeiss.
