The 4 inch Pink edge guard covers smaller paring knives or utility knives. The 7.5 inch Red edge guard is for larger Utility, Boning or Fillet knives. The 6 inch Green edge guard is for a smaller Chef knife or Santoku knife. The 8 inch Orange edge guard is for a carving knife or serrated bread knife and the 8 inch Blue edge guard is for a Chef knife or a larger Santoku style knife. These knife edge guards will protect steel and ceramic knives with blades up to 1/8″ thick.
