The Pro Balance oval style (see our other listings for the "square" style) knife block is excellent for containing various sizes and styles of knives and other utensils. This knife block features a unique polymer strand design to allow you to store all of your knives and many other utensils.
The block measures 10-3/4" tall and has a footprint of just under 8" by 5", taking up very little of your valuable counter space, but organizing several tools into a much more compact and usable space.
The storage area is filled with hundreds of polymer strands.  These strands will easily allow knives and other pointed tools to be inserted into them and will hold them firmly in place until they are needed again.  These strands will also protect knife edges from dulling and damage.
The carton states that this block will hold up to 6 knives, but that depends on the size of the knife -- I think it is plenty large enough to hold up to a dozen knives, but 8 or 9 would probably be a good compromise in order to give you enough room between the handles to reach in and grab the knife you need for a particular task.
The base and shroud of the block is both made from aircraft grade aluminum and coated in a variety of attractive colors including Black, Blue, Green and Red.  See our other listings for other colors (only the color mentioned in the listing title above is being offered in this listing).
These blocks are EXTREMELY well-made -- they weigh just under 6 pounds each.
