    Description

    The item for sale is an Olympus microscope objective in good working condition. It is designated 20x/0.40 and is intended for metallurgy and other reflected light applications (i.e. epi illumination). It has a "long mount" (parfocality of ca. 42.5mm) and a large diameter (25mm) thread as well. It has both epi bright field and epi dark field capabilities, although it can be used for transmitted light as well. Testing with actual specimens revealed that it is in good optical condition with no visible scratches or fungal growth. From a cosmetic standpoint, there is a modest amount of sub-microscopic pitting at the end, but otherwise it is in generally in good cosmetic shape with all of the of the letters and numbers ntact.
