No questions asked lifetime guarantee no matter what. I highly recommend (before you get used to using these great knives) sending the knives in for reconditioning. Cutco will sharpen, polish, and take care of any issues. This is truly the last set of knives you ever need to buy. Pass them down to your children or grand children and they get the same lifetime guarantee.
    #1721 was replaced with a white handle knife. The very tip of this knife is broken as shown in pictures. This "should" be covered under the lifetime guarantee.
