Wolfe microscope objective lens, 45X/0.65, achromatic, ca. 36mm parfocal, works

Item for sale consists of a Wolfe microscope objective lens. It is a 45X lens with a 0.65 numerical aperture, and it is designed for a parfocal distance of ca. 36mm. It has been tested on a microscope with the RMS standard 160mm tube length and with a slide having about a 0.17mm cover glass thickness. Although these values are not specifically printed on the lens, the nice quality of the images appears to confirm that it is optimized for something close to that. The parfocal distance was measured to be about 36mm. The lens is in good condition optically with exposed glass surfaces that show no signs of scratches, cement separation, corrosion, fungal growth, or other problems, even under microscopic examination, which is consistent with the good images found in the tests. Cosmetically, the lens is in good condition, except for a lot of microscopic pitting in the metal, especially around the end. On the other hand, it has less than the usual amount of wear, dings, and scratching from use. Please examine the photographs carefully for further details about the cosmetic condition.
